Jolly Roger Pirate Boat

The Jolly Roger, the only pirate boat in South Africa, offers the young at heart an authentic, adventure-filled experience. It’s particularly popular as a party boat for themed year-end functions, bachelor and bachelorette events, and families with young children, especially for kiddies’ pirate parties.

Booking Information

A minimum of 10 passengers is required for a trip to depart, trips will be cancelled if we do not have this amount of full paying passengers.

Passengers missing their cruise are not entitled to refunds or rescheduling of their tickets.

All children under the age of 12yrs are charged including babies.

Please note that our rates are for the hiring of the vessel only and excludes any catering or beverages.

You are more than welcome to arrange your own catering however all beverages must be purchased from the bar onboard the vessel.

Operating Hours

Office Hours:

Our bookings office is open from 9 – 5pm in winter months, and 9 – 7pm in the summer months. We are open 7 days a week.

Cruising Hours:

Scheduled trips operate Fridays to Sundays, running from 10am through to the evening sunset cruise. Sunset departure times vary by season, departing at around 7pm in summer and 5pm during winter.

Private charters offer flexible hours, allowing guests to choose their own schedule and keep the party going well after sunset.

What Will You See

Prepare to be amazed by the panoramic views of Table Mountain and the stunning Cape coastline. Depending on your cruise route, you may also see Robben Island, Granger Bay, Bantry Bay, and Clifton.

Keep an eye out for dolphins, whales, and other marine life, sightings are seasonal for whales and delightfully unpredictable for dolphins. No matter what, you can always count on a wave and a friendly greeting from passing boats.

Nearest Parking:

There is plenty of parking in and around the V&A Waterfront – the closest to us being the underground parking below the Victoria and Alfred mall.

Directions:

Yacoob Yachts offices are located at Shop 8, Quay 5, V&A Waterfront.

You will find us on Quay 5, nestled between Sevruga and Mozambik restaurants. Our flagship vessels, Tigresse and Jolly Roger are moored at Quay 5, and you will easily spot them if they are not out on a trip. Look out for the branded ticket boxes that stand on the Quayside in front of the boats moorings, here you can enquire or buy a ticket for the next trip. If you struggle to find us, there are plenty of helpful security guards as well as information stations in the V&A Waterfront that can direct you.
